Daniel Alvarez was born in Buenos Aires in 1968 and, from an early age, he retreats to writing as an expressive instrument of silence caused by his shyness. Insatiable fighter against injustice, at the age of 12 writes against the military government of that time, without considering the consequences and in defense of free expression.
His adolescence was a series of experiences without words. As he defines :'... hormones betrayed me ... women throughout my life, were the most beautiful excuse to become disoriented and lose my path'.
At 20 years old decided to devote himself fully to writing. He finished his studies and starts anthropology at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He says: "My intention was not becoming an anthropologist but a writer who takes science as a tool to develop better art”. '.
At that time, discovered theater. Write with actors, lighting technicians, set designers, etc. Theater became his passion.
And later, at the faculty of philosophy and letters (UBA) meets a group of people that start a program to teach drama in prisons.
As he defines it: 'The experience was amazing in every way. Working with people who were deprived of their liberty, remind me to my childhood where I was also locked in myself. Somehow, I was becoming a wounded healer. I could understand them and I was understood. While the causes were different was something that united us . I began to understand that anxiety and fear, that if we match and talk deeply showing our heart, even if the other has not gone through the same experience, we fully relate to each other. The theater had become an excuse to talk about ourselves, our miseries, of what we hide, our repressed desires. So, we went healing. They recovered the freedom not to backslide and I regained my freedom ... so I hope not to relapse".
Daniel Alvarez, writer, dramatist and artist of life, live in Las Vegas, USA, where he works in several theater projects and community outreach in support of his passion for the constant search and evolution without limits.
