Whole Wheat Muffins

Hearty Whole wheat muffins

1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking power
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup skim milk
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup margarine melted and cooled
1 egg, beaten
vegetable cooking spray

Preparació

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl, stirring well. make a well in the center of the mixture. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, honey, margarine, and egg; add to the dry ingredients, stirring just until the dry ingredients are moistened.

Spoon the batter into muffin pans coated with cooking spray, filling each sup two-thirds full bake for 10-15 minutes until light brown.
Per serving: calories 140,41 from fat, 5g fat, 18mg cholesteral, 221 mg sodium, 22g carbs (2g fiber) 4g protein.
Makes 12 delicious muffins.
