Exfoliation

to renew the skin

There is usually a missed step in the routine of basic skin care and yet it immediately gives a softer, smoother, fresher and brighter appearence. It is exfoliation, which drags the dead cells and impurities from the surface.

In the shower, wet skin, massage is applied with a mitt or it is extended ,by hand, some exfoliating product that helps the natural desquamation process of the skin.

The cells found in the outermost layer, the epidermis, grow old, die and are shed continuously. But when they do so slowly and irregularly, they give the skin a dull and rough aspect. Moreover, this layer hinders the penetration of any product or treatment that is applied.

With the peel these dead cells are removed. It is advisable to exfoliate two or three times a month, as long skin is not irritated or very sensible or presents wounds and burns. Peel is not recommended immediately before sunbathing or waxing. Yes, however, it is advisable to do it two or three days before, to get a uniform suntanned and prevent ingrown hairs.
