Pals, one of the most beautiful villages of Catalonia, represents the medieval essence of Costa Brava, its first dating is from 889. It’s without a doubt a big point of interest for history lovers. The village is a medieval core perfectly preserved. We can see the city walls, medieval streets, gothic windows, arches, and such interesting spots.
It has a marvelous circular roman tower, Sant Pere’s church. And we can’t forget all the palaces and castells of walled villages around Pals.
Some historians defend the theory –more reliable as the time goes by- that Cristobal Colon in his trip to America didn’t depart from Palos de la Frontera, as the official history says, but Pals’ harbor, deceased in XVIII’s century.
