The intellectual Hessel (94 years), who has given name to the movement of outraged, when asked him in the book "Time for Outrage" if he does not believe that youth are too conformist, he replies that "Resistance is not simply reflect or describe. Action is required. However, in this sense I'm relatively pessimistic, the younger generation expressed little resistance in relation to the shocked and against which they should react ....". Besides of this opinion, we need to recognise the positive, healthy and courageous move of the youth, which meet the marginalized and condemned unemployed, has been forced to realize the fallacy of idyllic society, instilled by his parents and grandparents, who also naively thought that it was and now realize their mistake, being their own children and grandchildren who are angry, the ones who show them they were wrong.

It's necessary to get that the attitude of the outraged leads to a practical compromise that would require the essential participation of adults, who really live the present and therefore they are the best to change it.
But it is necessary not to forget about the future, posing a social pedagogy, which starts with a change in values, commitment to mutual aid community, rather than individualistic greed.
The mere fact that young people accept these new social and cultural values it's a justification for their current move, which would necessarily be of long duration, involving several generations.

"Time for Outrage!" is the English translation of the bestselling tract "Indignez-vous ! " by the German-born French diplomat, member of the French Resistance and concentration camp survivor Stéphane Hessel. Published in France in 2010, it has sold nearly 1.5 million copies in France and has been translated into numerous other languages.
