Life is a play of balances. We constantly have to balance some forces, or face the consequences of balances between the forces of nature, often excercising an inhomogeneous field. Our character, a consequence of the balance between our greed and contentedness; agitations and peace; contradictory and harmonious. Indeed there is no single balance point, there are many, all depend on the environment, the circumstances that we are facing. Albert Einstein once said:
Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.
Is there any law that governs these balances? A friend of mine, Deepak Jain, has opined on FaceBook:
"The law of balance is a universal law that supersedes all of man's laws, creating stability for all third dimension manifestation. Each thought must be balanced by whomever creates it. This is divine wisdom. Allow all viewpoints without feeling you must defend your own. Allow no one to tell you what your journey must reflect or what your reality is. Do not give your power away so easily, but give your love unconditionally. Any messages communicated in love validates equality. Low self esteem is just as non productive as a puffed up sense of self esteem. They both deny equality. Another manifestation of the imbalance of this law is addiction."
I do not totally agree with such an opinion. I do not think that there is any such law, spiritual or otherwise. It is at best just an opinion, there is a kind of balance which I am thinking about now. It is the balance between various kinds of bacteria that constitute the microbiome of our body. I would like to quote from another thinking essay i wrote, some months ago:
"Within the body of a healthy adult, microbial cells are estimated to outnumber human cells by a factor of ten to one. These communities, however, remain largely unstudied, leaving almost entirely unknown their influence upon human development, psychology, physiology, immunity, and nutrition."
I think, that our self, is indeed influences by the balance between the populations of various kinds of bacteria that constitute the microbiome of a person at a particular time. As the balance point shifts, whether through some thinking processes, physical excercises or the diet, the character also changes whether of the spirit or the body. I am lead to this opinion, because of my recent experiences, regarding my body.
It is the same in case of large societies, that are not totally homogeneous, that are subject to changes in social behavior, because the attitudes, and numbers of people belonging to different ethnic groups, changes with various socio economic environments.
Can my experiences can be extrapolated to every human being?
