Thinking about Teaming

Teaming has become almost a necessity nowadays. Anyone who wants to be successful in any venture in life needs to team up, whether it is to run a corporate; government; game or sport. The better is the team, more are the chances of success. I have been a loner most part of my life, but I think I know what are the essentials of a good team.

A good team has to have members with complementary skills. Each member must complement the other members. A team made up of identicals can not be very successful. Variety is necessary. A team can be very successful unless it meets this criteria. But, what is far more important is the team spirit. Very often members of a team forget that. They become too individualistic, bit over egoist.

While each individuals contribution must be respected, as there cannot be a healthy personality that has no element of ego. What is required is a balancing act. Some sacrificing attitude both of the team leader and every member. Very often there are some glaring differences, of attitudes or prosperity, but each member must not forget the role of others. When they do, it can lead to disastrous consequences, not beneficial to the success in time.

For success comes, but it gets delayed only because the team is lacking the team spirit. It became evident in the Indian cricket team, which once was on the top but no more. It also became evident in Barcelona football team, that has scaled new heights lately. Many governments of many countries are facing the same problem, they are all suffering the differences between its member's aspirations and ambitions.

Teaming also plays a very crucial role in family life, not only among the siblings, but also between husband and wife. No family can ever be successfully happy, unless it knows that secret of life.
